Samlip General Food, formerly known as Sangmidang, was established in 1945, and is a forerunner of the SPC Group. Since its foundation, Samlip has brought countless popular products to the market, contributing to the growth of the bakery industry as well as the improvement of the typical Korean diet. In 1995, the company completed the automated production line in Sihwa, achieving enhanced food safety. The company’s Core Identity was further reinforced through the acquisition of Shany, a high-end cake brand established in 1972. Samlip is also diversifying its business into tteok (rice cake) and restaurant franchising. With 73 years of experience, know-how, and technology, Samlip will grow into a world-leading food and biotech company.
